Background:

                 My name is Carly Persano and I started riding when I was 5 years old at a little club called, Shallowbrook. I took riding lessons and right away fell in love with horses. I found myself at the barn everyday riding and caring for them. Not long after that I started getting involved in Hal Vita Sr.’s young horse program. When I was 1O, I was assigned 4 green horses of my own to take care of and exercise.  My passion was clear at this time and I knew that at the barn and around horses was where I was meant to be.  
I went on to study Equine Science and Agriculture at UCONN and continued to ride there and train horses in their young horse program.  
I was able to start riding professionally through out college and landed a job in Wyoming mentoring with some of the best.  I started my own business in 2019, when I felt that I’d learned a lot from my many mentors and that it was time to try things on my own.  
Patrick Caines (my partner) and I met starting colts for a big operation in Wyoming where they would bring in 10-20 colts at a time and give them their first 30 days.  We are still breaking colts with each other and are successful at what we love to do! We continue to make horses and specialize in training young horses for ranch work.

Goals:

                 We are motivated to teach horses about different pressures they will encounter in life.  Also we plan to always stay patient with each horse as an individual and allow them to mature at different times. This makes our program a more natural approach.  Lastly, we want to help our horses and clients by teaching them to connect and become one unit.
